Sony Xperia X vs. LG Stylo 2 – Two Best Smartphones of May

The second generation LG Stylo has been released last month, while the Sony Xperia X is expected to be released by the end of May. Today we will compare these two smartphones and you will decide which one suits your needs.
Designs
The LG Stylo 2 measures 155x79.5x7.4mm and weights 144grams. The device has a faux metal back with physical buttons placed below the rear camera, and likewise Samsung’s Galaxy Note line of phablets, it provides a stylus for taking notes directly on the screen. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia X is slightly thicker and heavier as it measures 142.7x69.4x7.9mm and weights 153 grams, but its back is completely flat and it’s made of matte metal.
Displays
The LG Stylo 2 has an IPS LCD display of 5.7-inch that supports a resolution of 1280x720 pixels at 258 ppi. The Sony Xperia X has a smaller IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 441 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The LG Stylo 2 features a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Sony Xperia X has a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and a dual-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
Storages
The LG Stylo 2 has been released with an internal storage of 16GB, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The Sony Xperia X will be released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but you can expand it up to 200GB using a microSD card
Cameras
The LG Stylo 2 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, face detection, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Sony Xperia X has a primary camera of 23MP with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 13MP.
Batteries
The LG Stylo 2 features a removable battery of 3000 mAh, which is more powerful than the non-removable battery of 2620 mAh that the Sony Xperia X device will come with.
Conclusion
An interesting thing related to LG Stylo 2 is that it supports microSD cards up to 2 TB. However, please note that currently there is no market for such microSD cards, but it is good to know that the phone is ready for the future. The new LG G Stylo can use 4G LTE networks, has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, microUSB 2.0 and a 3.5 mm jack. Also, we find an 8 megapixel main camera and a front one of 5 megapixels, has a built-in stylus and the battery has a capacity of 3,000 mAh. The phone's dimensions are 154.3x79.2x9.6mm, weighs 163grams and is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. LG G Stylo will be marketed first in Korea, other markets will join in late May.
Sony Xperia X seems like a better smartphone in terms of specs and features but let's wait until it is clearly released so we can see what's what. Until then, if you can put your hands on LG Stylo 2, go ahead, it's worth it.. and it's cheap!
