Acer Aspire V15 Nitro – Powerful Gaming and Business Laptop

Those from Acer were known for budget laptops but in recent years the company has tried (and managed) to change its image and become a producer associated with high performance laptops with a report specification/price almost unbeatable.
Introduction - Acer Aspire V15 Nitro
Acer Aspire V15 Nitro is available in a wide range of configurations. We would not talk about the model with 15.6-inch full HD display equipped with an Intel Core i7-5500U at 2.4GHz frequency (3.0 in Turbo mode) and 12GB RAM. The graphics processing was provided by a Nvidia GTX950 with 4GB RAM and storage space was composed of a 256GB SSD and a 1TB hard.
The surprise came as an embedded Bluray Player. We do not know exactly how much utility has this feature, but never hurts to have an extra option when it comes to media playback, be it games or movies. Acer Aspire V15 Nitro also has an SD card reader, three USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI port.
The keyboard is illuminated with absolutely sensational red LEDs, and the sound is provided by four speakers.
Pro Points - Acer Aspire V15 Nitro
V15 Nitro combines matt black rubberised casing with glossy silver on the hinge, and the result inspires elegance and minimalism. The case is textured and very pleasant to the touch and straight lines present in all construction give the impression of a 'serious' laptop, even if the red lights under the keyboard make you realize that you're dealing with a machine with a "playful" side. This design might not even appeal to gamers, given that most notebooks in this segment often come in funky colors, or with aggressive lines that exudes testosterone.
The performance is flawless. The tested configuration is perfect for those who want a gaming laptop at a "budget" or for those who want a premium laptop for everyday's use. Acer Aspire V15 Nitro "finish" games in full HD with High settings and maintain more than decent frame rates. However, those who want to experience some titles at uLTRA will notice a few hiccups here and there, but nothing that scares them. When it comes to other activities, the PC simply flying. Photo and video editing system does not require over limits and browsing and watching movies is not even worth discussing.
Autonomy managed to surprise us. We are used to a laptop to give about two to three hours of browsing with brightness set to 70%, but Aspire V15 Nitro resisted nearly six hours, approaching the results of an ultrabook. However, not everyone will be pleased with this performance because it varies drastically depending on use, but you can read about that a little later.
Portability is also a strength. Aspire V15 Nitro laptop is not heavy, nor thick. We are used to seeing gaming machines that are heavy enough om a backpack, but this model is even thinner than the laptop that I use at the office. Also in this chapter must be disclosed the positioning of the vent holes. The warm air is out on the back, meaning that we will not fry our legs if we keep the laptop on your lap.
Trackpad and keyboard can also be enjoyed. Many of the laptops that we have tested and worked with was forced to use a separate mouse for a better work place. The trackpad is large and precise, gentle, and the keyboard allowed us to write quickly without having troubles.
Against Points - Acer Aspire V15 Nitro
The display has a strong saturation and good contrast, but there were times when we felt the need for a higher brightness. We appreciated that the screen is anti-glare type, ie mat, but the viewing angles were lower than expected, despite the IPS panel. Looked "over the shoulder" the display distort colors long enough, and it does not make it a gadget for those who are used to show funny clips to friends or who play various multiplayer titles on the same laptop.
We've said above that the autonomy varies widely. Although we are accustomed to the processor and video card games that consume more battery, the difference to the use of "light" is very high. The Aspire V15 Nitro will allow gaming sessions more than 2.5 hours without mains connection. Depending on the complexity of the game and the "hunger" of the resource, this value can fluctuate for good or bad.
Conclusion - Acer Aspire V15 Nitro
We've chose to treat this laptop in two ways, because we've find it a machine of rare versatility. we do not know if it was thought by those from Acer, but V15 Nitro is both for gamers and for ordinary users and therefore received two votes in this review. Acer Aspire V15 Nitro is a best buy for both categories mentioned above.
